Education

Graduated from Perth Modern School and completed his medical degree at the University of Notre Dame in 2012.

Professional Experience

Dr Nico Prasetyo is a highly skilled rural generalist with a strong background in surgery and internal medicine. He spent nearly a decade as a surgical registrar and senior registrar across metro and rural WA, gaining experience in trauma, colorectal, breast, orthopaedic, and urological surgery. He continues to enjoy hands-on procedures, particularly advanced skin work.

After relocating to South Australia, he completed advanced training in adult internal medicine and now holds RACGP Fellowship with a Rural Generalist qualification. He has cared for communities across the Riverland and Victor Harbor.

Interests Outside Work

Dr Prasetyo speaks fluent Indonesian and Malay. Outside of medicine, he enjoys cooking, playing badminton, and fishing with his young son. He brings clinical expertise, creativity, and a warm, practical approach — the kind of doctor at home in the city or the bush.
